Ramon Garza School Healthy Start Collaborative

The goal for the Ramon Garza School Healthy Start Program is to insure the education, health and well-being of students and their families, and therefore, increase the likelihood of the student's academic success. Strategies for accomplishing this goal include increasing protective factors for children and families that promote learning and development of their full potential to becoming contributing members of society.

The five Outcome Areas have been selected and prioritized by the Ramon Garza School Healthy Start Collaborative as areas that need the most improvement. The outcome areas are:

Mental Health
Improved mental health services for children and families that increase family functioning and student support.

Physical Health
Improved physical health care services for children and families that increases student and family wellbeing.

Afterschool Prevention Activities

Ensuring Parent/Community Involvement
